History of GPC
Graham Presbyterian Church (GPC) was founded in 1850 with a membership of 27, The first five (5) years, the church was supplied by a pastor from two (2) other churches, and in 1856, Reverend Archibald Currie was installed as the first regular pastor.
GPC has been a gathering place where the faithful worship God, nurture spiritual growth, and extend care and compassion to neighbors. More than a building, GPC is a congregation rooted in faith, service, and community service.
The physical church has ben renovated and restructured several times (1856, 1908, 1920, and again in the 1960’s.) In years after that, the membership purchased land to build our completed Community Life Center (CLC), opened in 2024.
A Vision for our Church and Community
Our vision for GPC is to remain an active, loving, multigenerational, Christ-centered church that seeks to grow our ministry to reach an ever-changing community through compassionate service and a clear proclamation of God. Our church seeks to uphold the premise that tradition and innovation can coexist and that both are vital parts of a healthy community of faith. We seek to hold true to our Presbyterian doctrine while meeting people where they are.
We are committed to worship that exalts God, preaching grounded in the Bible, and leadership that models integrity, accountability, and humility.
